Deactivate the indicated number of Sand Gates to earn the corresponding reward:

150 Sand Credits: 5 Sand Gates

Additional sand
When the Prince absorbs two or more Sands Of Time, at the same time rewind time a little to gain additional sands.
Unlock Secret Sword
During gameplay, pause and input UP, DOWN, UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, CIRCLE, SQUARE, CIRCLE, SQUARE.
Alternate ending sequence
To get the alternate ending, you must collect all the life upgrades. At the end, you will fight the Dark Prince instead of the Vizier.
